Abstract:
OAC and IPLB have presented the second series of studies integrated within
the On Reading programme, undertaken in collaboration with Portuguese
universities which have pursued localised research proposals and fieldwork.
As with the first series of studies, the objective is to identify young
people’s reading habits in the municipalities under analysis and evaluate
the role of the various agents and institutions involved in the reading
process.
This report proposes certain key conclusions, within a comparative framework
of the main dimensions covered by the set of research works of the 1st and
2nd series of the On Reading Programme. An extensive bibliography of studies
on reading is also included.
