Abstract:
OAC and IPLB have
agreed on the need to develop localised studies on reading habits and
operational models of public libraries, which gave rise to the On Reading
programme, now presenting its third series of results.
The aim of the present report is to provide a comparative overview of the
common and specific characteristics of the research works published in this
collection, by charting the main vectors underlying reading habits, above
all on the basis of the relative weight of new technologies in structuring
reading habits, both within and beyond libraries.
