Abstract: This book presents an overview of the 2005 edition of Alcultur meeting that occurred in Faro (Portugal) between the 22nd and the 26th November 2005. This overview is divided in three analytical plans: the event characterization; the participants (speakers and audiences) characterization; and the main issues presented in speakers’ communications, as well as the questions launched by the audiences. Is based on sources as field notes produced by the OAC team, the programatic texts of the meeting; the participants’ information data; and the texts and other materials that supported the communications (those available online in www.alcultur.org).
